HEALTH GUARANTEE
The Seller certifies that this kitten is in good health at the time of sale and has been properly cared for.
The kitten is guaranteed to be free from:
• Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV)
• Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)
Buyer understands that there is no reliable test for Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), and therefore no guarantee is made regarding FIP.
VETERINARY EXAMINATION
The Buyer agrees to have the kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours (3 days) of receiving the kitten.
• If the kitten is found to have a serious health condition at the time of sale, the Buyer may return the kitten to the Seller, at Buyer’s expense, with a written veterinary report, for a full refund of the purchase price.
• Failure to obtain a veterinary exam within this timeframe voids all health guarantees.
ONE-YEAR GENETIC HEALTH GUARANTEE
The Seller provides a one (1) year genetic health guarantee against the following hereditary conditions:
• Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)
• Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
• Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)
If the kitten dies from a confirmed hereditary condition within one year:
• A necropsy report from a licensed veterinarian is required
• Upon verification, the Seller will provide a replacement kitten, when available, for a fee of $600.00
SPAY / NEUTER REQUIREMENT
This kitten is sold as a pet only and is not to be used for breeding under any circumstances.
The Buyer agrees to have the kitten altered as follows:
• Male kittens must be neutered by 7 months of age
• Female kittens must be spayed by 6 months of age
The Buyer must provide proof of spay/neuter from a licensed veterinarian to the Seller within 14 days of the procedure.
Failure to comply with this requirement constitutes a breach of contract.
Under no circumstances shall this kitten be bred, intentionally or accidentally.
If the Buyer fails to have the kitten spayed/neutered within the required timeframe, the Seller reserves the right to:
• Reclaim the kitten without refund, and/or
• Pursue legal action for breach of contract
REGISTRATION PAPERS
The kitten will be eligible for registration through CFA and/or TICA.
Registration papers will not be provided at the time of sale.
The Seller agrees to email the kitten’s registration documents to the Buyer only after receiving proof from a licensed veterinarian that the kitten has been spayed or neutered in accordance with this agreement.
Failure to comply with the spay/neuter requirement will result in forfeiture of registration privileges.
NO REFUND POLICY
No refunds will be issued after the initial 72-hour health evaluation period, except as outlined in this agreement.
BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES
The Buyer agrees to:
• Provide proper indoor housing at all times
• Provide fresh water and a high-quality diet
• Maintain routine veterinary care, including vaccinations and boosters
• Provide parasite prevention and prompt medical treatment when needed
NON-TRANSFER / REHOMING AGREEMENT
Under no circumstances shall the kitten be:
• Sold, leased, or surrendered to a pet shop, shelter, or research facility
If the Buyer is unable to keep the cat at any time, the Seller must be contacted first. The Seller reserves the right to assist in rehoming or reclaim the cat.
DECLAWING PROHIBITED
Declawing of this cat is strictly prohibited under any circumstances.
BREEDER SUPPORT
The Seller remains available for guidance and support throughout the life of the cat and encourages ongoing communication.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This document constitutes the entire agreement between Buyer and Seller. Any changes must be made in writing and initialed by both parties.
